INDOOR EXHIBITS

SPECIAL RULES

1.

Exhibitors in this division must be members in good standing of a 4-H/FFA Club Chapter within the Navajo area. Enrolled members of Navajo Tribe from any residency may compete if hey are bona fide 4-H/FFA members.

2.

4-H/FFA Club Exhibitors must be enrolled in the 4-H Project exhibited during the current year. Entries will not be accepted if not enrolled in the 4-H Project. Projects must be made during the current year. Project lists of each exhibitor will be obtained from their County Extension Office. FFA Indoor Exhibits must be part of the school/chapter activities and must be made during the current year and approved by the FFA Instructor.

3.

Coordinator has the right to exclude any item from exhibition.

4.

Record books must be available upon request.

5.

ALL 4-H/FFA EXHIBITS MUST BE PRE-ENTERED. Entry forms must be post-marked or hand-delivered by August 31, 2001. Only exhibits that have been pre-entered will be accepted. There will be no substitutions. Don't give to Extension Agents or 3rd party. All entry forms should be addressed or delivered to:

6.

All Indoor Exhibits will be accepted between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2001. Only articles listed on the premium list will be judged.

7.

Entries will be judged at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2001.

8.

Each exhibitor may exhibit only one item under each lot number, including miscellaneous.

9.

Each 4-H/FFA member may enter a total of not more than TEN (10) items.

10.

All baked goods and vegetables on a plate must have 3 items. Display must be on a rigid plate in a zip lock bag.

All sewing items must be neatly pressed and brought on a hanger and in a large plastic cover.

12.

All flower arrangements must be in a vase or a small basket and all potted plants must have been grown by exhibitor.

13.

The 4-H Exhibit committee will not be responsible for loss or damage to any entries.

   

14.

Exhibits will be released between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2001. All items can be sold between 3 pm and 5 pm. Fair management will not be responsible for any animal or exhibit left after 5:00 p.m. Club leaders are responsible for picking up any article left by their club members.

15.

Blue, Red and White ribbons will be awarded according to Danish System on all indoor exhibits.

16.

Special awards to be given to Hi Point Individual Senior, Junior, and Novice boy and girl for Indoor Exhibits.

17.

Special awards to be given to Best of Show in categories of Clothing, Vegetable Gardening, Baking, Native foods, Preservatives, Photography, Club Records, Rocketry, Arts & Crafts, Fiber Crafts, Educational Poster, and Plants and Ag. Mechanics.

18.

Boosters can enter a total of not more than five (5) items which may be a combination of Livestock and Indoor Exhibits.

19.

Boosters will be awarded ribbons on the Danish System of judging.

20.

4-H/FFA members must claim their premium money by close of fair or forfeit premium.
